The boys and I were having fun with shapes and glue and scissors this morning, and while Will was at school and Cam napped I stuck some in a frame. This is totally inspired by the amazing Veronika of Sarah & Benedrix, who does it a MILLION times better than this. I had wanted to have the same three-dimensional quality she creates, but the only frame I had on hand was this flat one, so they smooshed down flat. Whatever - it's rainbows. Happy rainbows on a grey day. And it took 15 minutes.
They are so lovely - Sarah & Benedrix.
So lovely Lisa! I've been wanting to do something similar for a while now!
ReplyDeleteI love your rainbow version. I've also been hankering after one of Veronika's originals. They are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLisa! I love this. Inspired to maybe try a version of this for the seating chart at my wedding.
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma, I know, I have had her shop bookmarked forever. I just have to figure out how to anonymously send my bookmarks to my husband... Her blog is wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteIt is super quick Kerry, although you seem to have quite a bit on your plate these days!! :)
ReplyDeleteOooh I would love to see that! Can I help? :) It would be pretty with lovely Japanese paper...
ReplyDeleteI think you did a wonderful job Lisa! You've got me inspired now....
ReplyDeleteThank you!:) I have been thinking about doing DIY version, little kit you can buy with everything prepared, what do you think? have a good day
ReplyDeleteI think that could be fun Veronika, as long as you made sure that they weren't as detailed as yours - you wouldn't want to replace yourself! :) But I love the idea of an affordable way to get a bit of your art, as well as an appreciation for how much work you put into them - they must take you days!
