Patterson Palette

Ahhh back from a long weekend at my folk's cottage at New River Beach - no TV or internet, and it feels like I have been away for weeks (in a good way).  I did get to do a little photoshop fun, and being inspired by the Freeman Patterson photos I posted earlier and the gorgeous Bay of Fundy, I put together these photos from Pinterest in a weathered, ocean-coloured palette.

  3. i just love this! This popped into reader today, and I didn't have time to comment, so I made my way back. The colours are fabulous and I love the image play, brush strokes and key strokes. Great work.

    Hope you are well, Vie

  5. Love these shots, especially the top one of the doors in the sand. How do you make the palettes?

  6. Thanks you guys, they are fun to do. Blake, I just obsessively collect images on Pinterest (it is so easy to search and find exactly what I want) and then play with them in photoshop for a while. I was thinking of doing bigger mood boards, but I kind of like the juxtaposition of just the two images. :)

  7. My only niggling regret in doing these posts is that the credits for the original photography are not available. Even if you click through to Pinterest to see them, they often only reference a tumblr site or something. I was shocked when I was doing the searches how many of Freeman Patterson's photos showed up - uncredited... :(

  8. I feel the same way. Have been contacting various bloggers for permission to use images in my post. Amazed and grateful that they say yes. They're amazed and grateful that I asked. Credit where due (when possible).
