I finally finished this hat! This one just about did me in. I must have started it 10 times, and then I finally got to the band and had no idea how to continue. I emailed Mum down south, and finally went to the Knit Cafe, where they helped me figure it out - but not without a lot of confusion! They also pointed out that the yarn I was using might not stretch enough to fit over my head, so I got some new stuff, and unravelled the whole thing to start over yet again. This hat is my mandala. But it is quite cozy!
The pattern, for those who have more knitting experience than I, is free and can be found right here.
that's a really cute hat! Thanks for the pattern link.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos of you Lisa. Pretty in knit.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! You are becoming quite an accomplished knitter. I should put you in touch with my friend Lucy. Remind me and I'll show you the sweater she made for Alex.
ReplyDeleteI love the first photo of you - it's really beautiful. Who took it?
Thank you guys, you make me smile. The first photo is from the photobooth thinger on my computer, after many unpublishable attempts at self-portraits on my camera... And guys, knitting is sooo fun! I can't stop. Plus it makes me think of my mum. :)
ReplyDeleteLookin' good Lisa. Lookin' REAL good. ;)
