Cam's Room

It isn't often that I get to blog about something here and on my kid blog, but I took some photos of Cam's room today, since it was looking nice and neat, and thought I would post them here too.  The photos didn't turn out that great, and I am not very good at fixing them, my apologies.  And yes, I do realize that the same people who read this blog read the other blog, but I can post bigger photos on this one, so you have to indulge me...

The walls really aren't this yellow, they seems brighter in the photos.  This was the colour when we got here, we never did get around to painting when we moved in!

The mobile is a photo clip mobile with all of the cranes Karen made for Will's baby shower.

The wonderful Expedit shelf from Ikea - so versatile.

After much searching, I made this alphabet print, as well as the Cameron hippo print.  The clouds are just scrapbook paper from Michael's.

This is a movie poster for the Czech version of Damn Cat (never heard of it) that I found online.
I actually made this bunny in grade 8 Home Ec.  It originally wore a dress and matching bloomers!  I think I like it better as a boy. :)

  1. Your rooms, as always, are gorgeous! I also love that you dressed your bunny (made in home ec, I'm guessing) in boys' clothes. My bunny is sitting up in Cam's closet. I didn't want to get rid of it, but didn't know what to do with it. I think I'll pull out a few of Alex/Cam's baby clothes and re-dress my bunny - thanks!

  3. Whoops, my comment disappeared. Cam's room is so lovely. Makes me want to have another babe or two, if only for the decorating opportunities. Tracked down that clip mobile at the National Gallery store--trying to figure out a rock 'n' roll version for my brother's impending baby.

Tell us more about the orange dangly circles hanging from the curtain rod?

  4. Hey Blake! I think your comment ended up on the post below... the clips are Umbra, you can get them at Urban Outfitters, but also at the Umbra store on John! The circles are from Tibet I think - via the Japanese Paper Place (one of my all time fav stores!) I love the rock and roll idea... you could do a whole room in B&W& red!

  9. I made most of the art - the Cameron prints and the alphabet - and the 2 Czech movie posters I downloaded form the web. The "Be the Orange Sheep" poster is from Urban Outfitters, care of Aunt Daphne! Oh and the clouds one is just scrapbook paper. The frames are all Ribba from Ikea.

  11. Hi jacobsmom, I actually didn't use a form, just did it from scratch in Word, but it did take a while. I would be happy to send it to you if you want!
